This is it - the end of a (short) era. Bill, our wonderful co-host, is leaving for Canberra, and in this episode we send him off in true POW style.

This episode also marks the beginning of a hiatus for us, until we can find a new fifth host. We will be continuing Season 2 once we have found the new fifth person, and anyone who wants to apply should send an e-mail to podcastofwin@hotmail.co.uk. We also have links for messages on our facebook and myspace pages, as well as a Red vs Blue forum thread.

We all want to wish Bill the best for the future, and hope he excels in both his uni course and his future career. Hopefully we’ll have him back on as a guest sometime.

The Jason trilogy - full of more plot holes, inconsistencies and random occurrences than a season of Lost - finally concludes…we know you’ll all feel better when we go back to normal stuff.

This week we discuss parties, as well as more of the random blah blah you’ve been (hopefully) been listening to for the last two episodes.

We are also needing a lot more viewership if we’re going to successfully continue as a podcasting service, meaning all our faithful listeners need to spread the word about us to as many people as they comfortably can. The more publicity we can garner, the better.

Straight out of the creative minds of three POW geniuses comes the first installment of the Jason Trilogy, 3 podcasts containing myself, Jason and Luke talking about random stuff. These three episodes combine to form…something that lasts for an hour and a half. So start collecting.

The latest two episodes, and the first episode of Season 1, will remain available for download every week, while all old episodes will be posted in their respective episode pages down the bottom as rapidshare links. Following on from the underground success of episode 1 comes the next POW Season 2 installment - with far more gun battles, explosions, funky beats and references to pop culture icons both past and present.

Starting with this episode we go down to 30-40 minutes per episode, in order to deliver more POW with every podcast punch we propagate. Anyone who has suggestions or comments for any of this, feel free to send emails to podcastofwin@hotmail.co.uk or join either our Facebook or Myspace groups.

Our fifth host, Jason, was unavailable for this episode as well - however, given a recent epic recording session where 3 episodes were produced, he will be featuring prominently in the future. After months of waiting, the new Season of the Podcast of Win has finally broken ground. Returning with a whole new cast, new topics and a  new overall face, the POW team now consists of five of the best podcasters around.

Chris - The main dude, returning from Season 1 to once again lead POW to new heights of podcasting and random nerdiness.

Lonie - The beauty of the podcast, bringing a cultured nerdy personality to the ‘cast.

Luke - Active, boisterous and louder than Kim Knight, with a fixation for ADD bunny rabbits.

Bill - The most sane of the group, and also the one with the hair that needs the most conditioner attention.

Jason (absent from this episode) - Smooth talking, straightforward and to the point, with a seedy side we will all witness.

Together, these Final Five (BSG FTW) will be the new permanent cast members of the Podcast of Win, or at least at the time of this publishing.

This is it - the final episode of the Podcast of Win Season 1.

Following this episode we will be starting Season 2, with Chris and a new cast taking over. We apologise if you guys don’t enjoy the new season, but I believe that just because it will be different does not mean it will necessarily be bad. Just try and give it a chance.

Anyone wishing to apply to join our cast can leave a comment or e-mail us at podcastofwin@hotmail.co.uk - we always appreciate all comments and feedback. A decision on new cast will be made on Wednesday, January 14, and a new cast list will be published on Friday, January 16.

Also, this episode was recorded a while back and contains information that is no longer relevant in some areas. I’ve decided to publish the episode in its original format, as a testiment to the end of the first season.

Another issue I need to raise is that of cost - this website only allows for a certain amount of file size, and with the first three episodes, since this is a basic account, we have reached our limit. I will be removing the file for episode 2 briefly (so I can bring episode 4 out) and anyone who logs on looking for it, contact me and I’ll get it to you. I’m considering putting new episodes on rapidshare/megaupload, then posting a link on this site to the file server so that episodes can come out on a regular basis. An upgraded account with more space costs $2 a month, so if people are willing to donate money I’ll be willing to upgrade and have it all kept here. I believe the more likely and feasible option is to have it released on external sites that will be linked to from here. As always, feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
